Opportunity Overview

Join Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver located in Timmins, Ontario, as a Wash Bay Attendant. This full-time, onsite position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $24.10 to $32.90 based on experience and qualifications. The role operates Monday to Friday with 8-hour shifts and requires relocation to the Timmins area. This is a non-camp, permanent vacancy ready to be filled immediately.

About Lake Shore Gold and Timmins

Lake Shore Gold's Bell Creek Complex, situated 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, includes an underground mine and processing facility. The mine exploits mineralization along the Porcupine-Destor fault in the Abitibi greenstone belt, using narrow vein longhole stoping. Ore is transported via a deep shaft capable of handling 4,800 tonnes daily.

Timmins is a lively community of 45,000 residents serving as a regional hub with abundant recreational options including camping, fishing, skiing, and a variety of sports leagues. The city is well connected with direct flights to Toronto and offers community events year-round.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean equipment destined for maintenance and repairs in both underground and surface wash bays.
• Manage and maintain shop supplies, tooling, and the upkeep of tools for underground and surface shops.
• Perform general shop housekeeping and assist Mechanical & Welding technicians during repair tasks.
• Escort contractors and visitors on site when necessary.
• Operate equipment and fulfill additional assigned duties as required.

Candidate Profile

• Possess solid mechanical aptitude related to operation and movement of equipment.
• Prior repair experience or training as a heavy equipment technician is an advantage.
• Self-driven with excellent organizational abilities and eagerness to enhance workplace efficiency.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols.
• Completion of Basic Underground Hard Rock Common Core training is beneficial.
• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
