Job Summary
We are in search of a skilled and proactive Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse functions and inventory management. This position is essential for maintaining precise stock control, managing efficient receipt and dispatch of goods, collaborating closely with Purchasing and Quality departments, and enhancing warehouse efficiency. The chosen candidate will contribute significantly to minimising waste, enhancing inventory accuracy, and aiding the seamless functioning of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise all warehouse functions such as receiving, inspection, storage, tracking, and dispatching of materials and finished products.
- Ensure accurate inventory documentation including overseeing cycle counts, comprehensive stocktakes, and reconciliation processes.
- Design and maintain the warehouse organization, including stock location and labelling systems to optimise efficiency and traceability.
- Coordinate with the Purchasing team to track inventory levels, aid forecasting efforts, and guarantee prompt material restocking.
- Operate forklift machinery in compliance with all safety standards.
- Manage packaging and dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers.
- Work alongside Quality Assurance to handle incoming material inspections, manage nonconforming and quarantined inventory, and verify outgoing goods.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce material waste, optimise inventory use, and boost operational productivity.
Basic Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse management, supervision, or stores management roles focused on inventory control.
- Forklift certification or readiness to obtain it.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, skilled at analysing inventory data and generating detailed reports.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, or warehouse management software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across Operations, Purchasing, Quality, and Production teams.
