Role overview
This position is for a Warehouse Assistant / Logistics Assistant in Singapore, based in Hougang. The role supports day-to-day warehouse activities for an international organisation, with a focus on handling import and export cargo accurately and safely while keeping inventory records, housekeeping, and operational standards in good order.
Core duties
- Carry out cargo movement tasks such as receiving, picking, putting items away, and dispatching shipments in the warehouse.
- Handle import and export goods by checking, retrieving, loading, unloading, packing, and palletising them as required.
- Record cargo receipt and shipment updates correctly in the ERP system.
- Perform stock counts regularly to help keep inventory records accurate.
- Identify, investigate, and escalate inventory mismatches when they arise.
- Keep the warehouse tidy, organised, and safe at all times.
- Follow all safety rules and security procedures that apply to warehouse operations.
- Assist with other operational tasks whenever directed by the supervisor.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for someone with a minimum ITE qualification or an equivalent background. Prior exposure of 1 to 2 years in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain work is preferred, though people at entry level who are keen to learn and bring a positive attitude are also welcome. Familiarity with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) will be an advantage. The job also requires someone who is physically fit, comfortable with lifting and palletising work, detail-oriented, able to handle a busy work setting, and a good team player with clear communication skills.
