Position Overview
Become a crucial member of the Western Sydney Local Health District by supporting high-quality, safe patient care at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals. Engage as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on improving patient flow and hospital service efficiency. This is a permanent full-time role with 38 working hours weekly. Remuneration ranges between $64,440.53 and $64,891.87 annually.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely move patients using beds, trolleys, and wheelchairs applying appropriate manual handling practices.
- Assist in lifting, transferring, and repositioning patients using specialized equipment to ensure comfort and safety.
- Transport hospital equipment, laboratory specimens, documents, and furniture to maintain operational efficiency.
- Support mortuary responsibilities, patient identification procedures, and infection control following all safety protocols.
- Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with clinical teams to facilitate smooth patient flow and positive experiences.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrable communication skills with patients, visitors, staff, and managers.
- Knowledge and practice of manual handling and infection control principles.
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment adhering to workplace health and safety policies.
- Capacity to work under physical and diverse work demands independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English reading and writing and ability to operate electronic devices linked to ward task management.
