Role Overview
A major international organization is seeking a seasoned Technology Risk & Controls leader to help safeguard its enterprise technology landscape. The position sits within the Technology division and partners closely with engineering, architecture, platform, and risk stakeholders to improve technology governance, operational resilience, and the effectiveness of controls across key systems and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside technology and business stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize operational and technology risks across systems, platforms, and active initiatives.
- Advise teams on risk, control, and governance matters related to infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and enterprise platforms.
- Evaluate and strengthen control mechanisms for areas including system access, change management, data management, and platform resilience.
- Help establish and embed governance routines within technology delivery and operational processes.
- Support the handling of technology incidents, remediation plans, root cause analysis, and follow-up of corrective actions.
- Create and maintain risk reporting packs, metrics, and dashboards that give management clear visibility of significant technology and operational exposures.
- Assist in monitoring third-party service providers, vendors, and technology partners.
- Partner with Risk, Audit, and Technology teams to raise governance standards, enhance control maturity, and support regulatory as well as internal compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Holds a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Brings over 8 years of experience in technology risk, IT governance, operational risk, controls assurance, or IT audit.
- Has worked in regulated environments.
- Understands core technology risk domains such as identity and access management, cloud, data governance, and systems development practices.
- Is familiar with governance and control frameworks.
