Role Overview

Our paid social growth depends on compelling creative content. This position focuses on transforming raw footage and creator clips into captivating, ad-ready videos designed to stop viewers mid-scroll on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Beyond assembling footage, you will contribute original concepts, hooks, and editing strategies to optimize engagement and conversions through rapid testing and iteration. Successful edits are performance-driven, and you'll have the opportunity to refine work based on real-time metrics.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw and creator-produced video clips into multiple, optimized variants for social platforms including Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
• Develop engaging hooks and precise pacing that retain viewer attention and encourage user interaction.
• Introduce fresh ideas and creative approaches rather than just following predefined storyboards.
• Create numerous iterations of successful concepts to fuel continuous creative testing.
• Utilize native platform techniques such as dynamic captions, on-screen text, motion graphics, and pattern interrupts.
• Adapt videos across various aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 4:5) suitable for Stories, Reels, and Feed placements.
• Analyze performance data to enhance and sharpen video edits focusing on elements that drive results.
• Maintain quick and well-organized delivery to ensure new creative content is consistently available for testing.

Requirements

• Demonstrable portfolio of short-form video ads executed live on Meta and/or TikTok campaigns.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, expert use of After Effects for motion graphics, and CapCut experience for rapid editing.
• Strong understanding of direct-response advertising principles including effective hooks, pacing, and conversion-focused editing.
• Proven ability to produce a high volume of quality video variants under tight timelines.
• Self-motivated and proactive work style with the initiative to contribute creative ideas independently.
• Fluency editing native short-form content optimized specifically for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok ad formats.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with consumer subscription apps, paid social growth agencies, or DTC/ecommerce brands.
• Comfortable interpreting performance metrics such as hook rate, hold rate, and click-through rate to inform editing decisions.
• Familiarity incorporating AI tools into the creative workflow to enhance efficiency.
• A passion for music and strong cultural awareness in the creative space.

Compensation & Workplace

This contract opportunity offers hourly pay ranging from $70 to $90, based on expertise, with expected weekly hours between 20 and 40. The position is onsite in Los Angeles, CA.
