The Technology team provides advisory services to entrepreneurs, private equity sponsors, and public companies on a wide array of strategic and financial transactions including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings, follow-on equity offerings, private capital fundraisings, and strategic advisory projects.
Position Overview
We are seeking a driven Vice President to join our London Technology division as part of the expansion of our European Technology franchise. The Vice President will be instrumental in executing M&A and capital markets transactions, while supporting client origination and relationship development within the technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily execution of M&A, strategic advisory, equity, and debt financing deals.
- Coordinate various transaction workstreams, managing both internal and external stakeholders throughout deal lifecycles.
- Supervise preparation of detailed financial analyses, business valuations, marketing materials, information memoranda, management presentations, and board documents.
- Develop intricate financial models, including merger models, leveraged buyout (LBO) analyses, discounted cash flow (DCF) calculations, and accretion/dilution assessments.
- Participate actively in client engagement, business development, and new relationship cultivation.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings, management presentations, investor talks, and negotiation sessions.
- Review and mentor the work output of Analysts and Associates, ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Provide training and foster a collaborative team environment encouraging professional development.
- Build and sustain robust relationships with corporate officers, private equity investors, legal advisors, and other market participants.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent academic credential.
- Extensive investment banking background within the Technology sector at a top-tier investment bank or advisory firm.
- Proven success executing complex M&A and capital markets transactions.
- Exceptional skills in financial modeling, valuation, and analytical problem-solving.
- Experience multitasking and overseeing simultaneous transaction processes and project streams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong aptitude for client interaction and professional presentations.
- Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality under tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-moving, team-oriented atmosphere.
