Company Overview
CANATICS, short for Canadian National Insurance Crime Services, is a not-for-profit group that uses advanced analytics to spot potentially suspicious insurance claims by working with pooled industry data. Its work supports insurers and the wider market by delivering intelligence that helps prevent insurance fraud and strengthen confidence in the insurance ecosystem. The organization places a high priority on data accuracy, privacy, and security. CANATICS currently includes nine member insurance companies, covering roughly 75% of Ontario’s auto insurance market, and welcomes membership from all insurers. The team operates in a mission-driven setting alongside leading insurers and analytics professionals.
Role Summary
The Vice President Operations is a part-time, remote leadership position focused on managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the effective delivery of analytics and intelligence services. The role is responsible for operational planning, allocation of resources, and improvement of internal processes so the organization can meet member needs and advance its mission. It also includes oversight of performance measures, third-party and partner relationships, and adherence to organizational policies and industry requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead operational activities and ensure services are delivered efficiently and consistently.
- Plan and optimize processes to improve workflow and overall operational performance.
- Monitor operational metrics and use them to guide decisions and improvements.
- Manage relationships with vendors and external partners.
- Work with senior leadership to keep operations aligned with strategic objectives.
- Support budgeting activities and provide oversight of P&L performance.
- Drive ongoing improvement across services, projects, and operating procedures.
- Promote service quality, risk awareness, and operational stability.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant industry standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong background in operations management, including process design, optimization, and performance tracking.
- Hands-on experience with P&L oversight, budgeting, and financial management in an operational leadership role.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that connect daily operations with organizational priorities.
- Solid project management skills, including planning, delivery, and coordination across teams.
- Customer-focused approach with experience serving internal stakeholders and external member organizations.
- Leadership experience in operations within insurance, analytics, financial services, or a similar field is an advantage.
- Comfort working remotely on a part-time basis, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience using data to support decisions, along with exposure to risk management and compliance practices, is beneficial.
- Post-secondary education in business, operations, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

This is a part-time remote role based in Florida, United States.
