Role overview
The Vice President of Quality Transformation is a senior, full-time remote leadership position focused on shaping and delivering the organization’s enterprise-wide quality direction. The role owns the development and execution of quality strategy, with responsibility for strengthening quality systems, policies, and procedures across engineering, production, and operations.
What you will do
You will lead quality improvement programs, establish measurable performance goals, and work closely with teams across functions to identify and eliminate the underlying causes of quality problems. The position also includes guiding quality and regulatory groups, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and regulations, and providing senior leaders with updates on quality performance and transformation progress.
In addition, you will promote a continuous improvement mindset, coach other leaders on effective quality practices, and help ensure business goals are aligned with quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- Deep experience in quality control and quality assurance, including the ability to build and supervise inspection, testing, and verification workflows.
- Strong command of quality management and quality systems, with hands-on experience creating, rolling out, and sustaining integrated quality frameworks.
- Background in regulatory affairs, with a history of maintaining compliance with industry rules, standards, and certifications.
- Technical education or experience in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a closely related field, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering and operations teams.
- Progressive senior-level leadership experience in quality transformation or operational excellence, ideally in industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Comfort working with data to drive decisions, including quality KPIs, performance metrics, and root-cause analysis methods such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with experience leading distributed and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related discipline; an advanced degree or certifications such as ASQ or Six Sigma are considered advantageous.
