Vice President, Global Project Operations

Overview

Our client is seeking a Vice President of Global Project Operations to oversee the operational performance and execution of a worldwide portfolio of complex, multidisciplinary projects. These projects are focused on transforming venues and public spaces across sectors such as hospitality, sports, entertainment, performing arts, transportation, retail, and cultural institutions.

Key Duties

• Direct the global delivery and operational success of a diverse portfolio of complex projects.
• Enhance portfolio profitability by managing finances, forecasting, optimizing resources, and mitigating risks.
• Collaborate with commercial leadership to shape project planning, strategy, and portfolio outcomes.
• Implement scalable operating frameworks, governance protocols, and delivery standards for global teams.
• Design workforce strategies that align organizational capabilities with business needs.
• Track portfolio progress through executive dashboards, KPIs, and operational indicators.
• Lead and coordinate geographically distributed teams to encourage collaboration, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
• Establish strong partnerships with engineering, design, production, procurement, finance, commercial, and regional leadership.
• Coach and develop leaders to build a high-performing team with effective succession planning.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or MBA is desirable.
• At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in complex project delivery or operational management.
• Proven track record managing global multidisciplinary project portfolios with responsibility for financial, operational, and client success.
• Experience in sectors such as sports and entertainment venues, hospitality, cruise, performing arts, transportation, retail, cultural institutions, architecture, engineering, or design-build projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead dispersed teams and achieve operational excellence across various regions.
• Strong financial insight, executive communication capabilities, and expertise in developing scalable operational models and high-performing organizations.
