Vice President Finance

About the Role

Legacy Executive Search is assisting in the recruitment of a Vice President of Finance for a privately held industrial manufacturing company in the Greater Cleveland region generating approximately $100 million in revenue. Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior finance position offers a critical role in guiding the company's forthcoming growth phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and enhance the manufacturing cost accounting function within the company.
• Create and maintain financial systems, dashboards, and reports that enable actionable insights for Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales departments.
• Lead initiatives on pricing strategies, profitability assessments, and margin enhancement.
• Oversee budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning.
• Enhance ERP reporting capabilities, automate processes, and optimize financial workflows.
• Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to the CEO and leadership team.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years in progressive finance leadership roles within industrial manufacturing environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting including standard costing, inventory valuation, labor and overhead allocation, variance analysis, and product profitability assessment.
• Proven expertise in developing impactful financial reports and business analytics supporting executive decision making.
• Strong skills in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Operations and Sales teams to enhance business outcomes.
• Experience driving ERP system improvements, financial automation, or implementing AI in finance functions.
• Exhibits executive presence combined with humility, curiosity, and a proactive leadership approach.
