Vice President Finance

About the Role

Peerless Search Partners is collaborating with a locally owned and expanding construction firm in the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area to recruit a Vice President of Finance. This position offers a strategic leadership role within the executive team, tasked with guiding the financial direction of a thriving company undergoing rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary financial leadership while collaborating closely with executive management on business planning and growth strategies.
• Oversee all accounting and financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and maintaining internal controls.
• Lead and manage financial due diligence, valuation processes, and integration activities related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Formulate long-term financial strategies and deliver actionable insights to support decisions by senior leadership.
• Maintain and cultivate relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, banking institutions, and critical stakeholders.
• Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
• Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, reporting frameworks, and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline; CPA and/or MBA credentials are preferred.
• Extensive leadership experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in mergers and acquisitions and business valuation.
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership on strategic business initiatives.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical evaluation.
• Successful track record of leading teams and fostering organizational growth.
• Industry experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or project-based sectors is advantageous.
