About the Role and Work Conditions
Master Flo Valve Inc. is searching for a dedicated Valve Technician to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta on a permanent full-time basis. The role involves regular daytime shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime. Work is conducted indoors in a comfortable setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and conduct tests on choke and control valves following company quality protocols, with all necessary training provided internally.
- Interpret and comply with engineering drawings, procedural guidelines, and work instructions.
- Utilize standard hand tools for assembly and testing of Master Flo products.
- Perform assembly and hydrostatic testing of company products.
- Keep precise records in databases and maintain documentation accuracy.
- Ensure the work area remains clean and adheres to safety standards.
- Support and follow corporate guidelines concerning health and safety, quality control, and environmental policies.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in a mechanical role; hands-on assembly skills are highly advantageous.
- Ability and eagerness to develop technical skills specific to Master Flo's product range.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector is considered a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrates a reliable work ethic, positive attitude, and capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
