About the Role
Hangin is seeking a highly creative and swift UX/UI Design Intern to contribute to the development of an in-real-life livestream platform aimed at social discovery and commerce. The ideal candidate will be able to translate rough concepts into clear, elegant digital designs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Create user flows, wireframes, and detailed product screens.
- Rapidly prototype new features, interactions, and product ideas.
- Shape the user experience and visual style of consumer-facing products.
- Develop polished, development-ready designs using Figma.
- Work collaboratively with the founder, engineers, and creative team members.
- Investigate AI-assisted design tools to accelerate the transition from concept to prototype.
Candidate Profile
You should be proficient in Figma, including capabilities such as components, auto layout, and interactive prototyping. You have a solid grasp of fundamental UX principles, information architecture, and responsive design. Prior experience designing applications, websites, or digital products is expected. Comfort with Adobe Creative Suite, the ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy, and independence in pushing projects forward are essential. The fast-paced nature of a startup environment should energize you.
Your design sensibility values simplicity, editorial clarity, cleanliness, and intuitiveness. You demonstrate strong opinions on design balanced by a commitment to minimizing user complexity, with meticulous attention to typography, spacing, interactions, and subtle product details. A curiosity about culture, technology, creators, commerce, media, and trends in discovery fuels your creativity.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience building design systems and reusable component libraries.
- Familiarity with tools such as Framer, Webflow, ProtoPie, Principle or equivalents.
- Exploration of AI design tools and workflows like Relume, Lovable, or Figma AI.
- Competence in motion design, micro-interactions, and interactive prototypes.
- An interest in livestreaming, social platforms, consumer tech, culture, and commerce.
About Hangin
Hangin is constructing a live streaming network for discovering what is currently trending in real life. Through live scouting of products, places, events, creators, and emerging makers, Hangin helps users find worthwhile content without endless scrolling. The platform fosters social discovery and commerce powered by live interactions and real-time context.
