Position Overview

The Transporter role involves moving patients safely and efficiently within the hospital while adhering strictly to departmental and hospital policies. The transporter ensures proper handling of medical equipment such as catheters, tubes, monitors, and oxygen devices. This role also requires courteous interaction with patients and staff, providing relevant information during transport, maintaining cleanliness of transportation equipment, and documenting daily activities through logs. Continuous skill development and training are essential to maintain the quality of service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent educational credential is required.
• No prior experience is mandatory; however, one year of customer service experience and satisfactory employment history are preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days from the date of hire or transfer.
