About the Role
TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc., a prominent provider of crane and rigging solutions, is looking for a committed professional to join as a Trainer remotely from the Corporate Office. This full-time position reports to the Training & Development Manager and supports company-wide training excellence focusing on both soft and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate training schedules aligned with hiring and operational needs across various business units.
- Design instructional outlines and determine appropriate teaching methods including individual coaching, group sessions, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops.
- Create and select educational tools such as training manuals, demonstration models, multimedia aids, computer tutorials, and reference materials.
- Facilitate various training programs including train-the-trainer sessions, on-the-job training, and refresher courses covering safety, operations, maintenance, and supervisory topics.
- Maintain comprehensive training records, monitor employee progress, and report training outcomes.
- Conduct performance evaluations and observe training method effectiveness among employees.
- Build collaborative relationships with different business units to develop course materials and incorporate feedback into training programs.
- Effectively facilitate teams and work across functions with strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience with apprenticeship programs.
- Strong familiarity with Adult Learning Theory and instructional design principles.
- Proven ability to adapt communication styles and facilitate groups of diverse participants effectively.
- Competence in adopting and customizing technology to support training and knowledge management.
- Previous experience conducting equipment operator safety training; train-the-trainer experience preferred.
- A minimum of three years' experience in crane and/or rigging industries.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal, State, and Provincial occupational safety standards, including ASME, OSHA, MSHA, and other recognized safety codes.
- Understanding of safety training requirements for programs such as Aerial Work Platforms, Forklifts, Fall Protection, among others is preferred.
- Certifications such as NCCCO and/or NCCER instructor credentials are required.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented individual capable of working independently, embracing challenges, and adjusting to technological advances and changing demands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
