About the Role

AAA Global, a prominent proprietary quantitative trading firm, is seeking a Trading Business Analyst to join their Singapore office. This role is based onsite and involves a blend of quantitative trading operations, market structure research, and strategic relationship management in the Asia-Pacific region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit, enhance, and automate daily operational and business processes, replacing manual spreadsheet workflows with scalable and robust automated data pipelines.
  • Investigate new trading venues, analyze exchange connectivity options, co-location services, and keep abreast of regulatory updates to enable strategic expansion in APAC markets.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of trading expenses, including exchange fees, clearing charges, and regulatory costs to pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction and margin enhancement.
  • Serve as the primary technical and business liaison with external stakeholders such as exchanges, clearinghouses, prime brokers, and technology vendors.
  • Manage projects including the onboarding of new trading desks, exchange integrations, and clearing arrangements, ensuring flawless and timely execution.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Exceptional proficiency in data handling tools, including mastery of Excel with VBA and PowerQuery; strong skills in SQL are highly desired, supplemented by basic scripting ability in Python or R.
  • Unwavering attention to detail aiming for near-zero errors due to the high-stakes nature of proprietary trading environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude to systematically dissect unstructured challenges and produce data-backed solutions.
  • One to three years of relevant experience in proprietary trading firms, market making, quantitative hedge funds, exchanges, prime brokerage, or advanced financial consulting roles.
  • In-depth understanding of market microstructure concepts including electronic trading mechanisms, order book dynamics, data feeds, exchange fee schedules, and clearing procedures.
  • A bachelor's degree from a reputed university in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Quantitative Finance, or Economics.
