About the role
The Trade Steering Coordinator will support trade and vessel optimization work by closely monitoring utilization, reviewing routing decisions, and helping improve how space is used across voyages. The role is focused on maintaining high-quality output for internal stakeholders, paying close attention to detail, and continuously looking for ways to improve operational efficiency.
Core responsibilities
- Prepare equipment forecasts and keep track of usage trends.
- Compile and interpret reports on utilization.
- Analyse data to support better vessel optimization.
- Monitor vessel utilization and identify improvement opportunities.
- Review, capture, and track CA-related items.
- Work with TM teams to improve routing decisions.
- Evaluate routing proposals and suggest changes where needed.
- Investigate the main reasons for rejections across all legs and help resolve them.
- Review baseline assumptions and recommend changes to TM.
- Assess existing restrictions such as space, moves, and allocation, then question and challenge them when appropriate.
- Manage shipment requests and handle voyage space requests for shipments on the waiting list.
- Guide shipment handling when overbooking occurs.
What you need to bring
- A university degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
- Practical working knowledge of MS Office.
- The ability to collaborate well with others and follow established guidelines.
- A positive mindset and a strong analytical approach.
