Position Overview
Our expanding Ballymote manufacturing site in County Sligo is seeking a new member to join the toolroom on a full-time, permanent basis. The position operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on injection molds, hot & cold runner systems, as well as jigs and fixtures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling issues efficiently on the production floor to reduce downtime.
- Operate toolroom machinery such as manual and CNC lathes, manual and CNC mills, manual sink EDM, CNC wire EDM, surface and radial grinders, welders, and assorted power tools.
- Modify and fabricate replacement tool components following 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD data.
- Perform inspections using manual instruments like calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, with knowledge of CMM inspection considered advantageous.
- Maintain detailed records of all tool histories, maintenance logs, and modifications utilizing Excel and similar database tools.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship as a toolmaker, fitter, or machinist.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and proactive "can do" mindset.
- Fluency in English highly preferred to thrive in this dynamic environment.
- Full legal authorization to work in Ireland is mandatory; applications without valid documentation will not be considered.
