Role Overview

RAAFA is hiring a Therapy Assistant for its Bull Creek facilities, including Alice Ross-King Care Centre and Gordon Lodge. This is a permanent part-time position with shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. The role offers an hourly rate, salary packaging, and superannuation.

What You'll Be Doing

In this position, you will work alongside the Lifestyle Coordinator and Occupational Therapist to understand residents’ needs and preferences, then help shape suitable one-to-one and group programs. You will also support the delivery of individual and group therapy activities, monitor changes in residents’ wellbeing, and share relevant updates with staff. Continuous improvement is part of the role as well.

Key Duties

• Support the delivery of both group and individual therapy activities.
• Contribute to assessing resident needs and preferences, and help create suitable programs.
• Oversee volunteers who assist with the program.
• Prepare documentation and reports linked to the position.
• Work with Allied Health and Clinical teams to communicate how residents respond to the programs.

Work Locations

The role is based in Bull Creek at two facilities. Alice Ross-King Care Centre is a 102-bed residential care centre on the Air Force Memorial Estate beside Lake Howard, with natural surroundings and lakeside views. Gordon Lodge is a newly refurbished 62-bed residential aged care centre offering permanent, respite, and secure dementia care, including the Rose Cottage dementia wing.
