Test Analyst

Overview

The Test Analyst will play an integral role within the software development lifecycle, ensuring products achieve exceptional quality benchmarks. This role requires close collaboration with developers, product managers, and various stakeholders to detect and diagnose defects, draft test cases, and implement testing strategies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze requirement and design documentation to fully comprehend product functionality.
• Develop and implement detailed test plans addressing all software areas, including functional behavior, performance, usability, and compatibility.
• Engage actively in Program Increment (PI) planning sessions and code reviews to uncover issues early during the development stages.
• Continuously update knowledge on the latest quality assurance practices and testing tools.
• Prepare thorough test plans outlining testing scopes, objectives, and methodologies.
• Create detailed test cases to encompass multiple scenarios ensuring exhaustive evaluation of functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Execute both manual and automated testing procedures to identify software defects, bugs, and inconsistencies.
• Accurately document and report defects with clear descriptions, including reproducible steps and evidence.
• Conduct regression testing to verify that updates or new code do not adversely impact existing software features.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Possession of relevant professional certifications will be considered an added benefit.

Experience

• Between 3 to 6 years of practical experience applying diverse software testing techniques such as black-box and white-box testing.
