About the role
The Territory Manager for 2-wheeler loans is tasked with developing and handling loan business via dealers and existing channel partners. This position is centered on building a strong-quality lending portfolio while following internal procedures and regulatory requirements. The role also involves leading a team, nurturing market relationships, and supporting business expansion in a sales-oriented but risk-aware manner, contributing to the bank’s wider retail lending goals.
Key responsibilities
Primary responsibilities
- Develop and manage business through dealers and other market channels.
- Bring in new customers and maintain steady loan disbursement levels.
- Protect portfolio quality by keeping delinquencies and rejections low.
- Track and support channel partners so their efforts stay aligned with business objectives.
- Keep current on retail asset offerings, operational workflows, and market developments.
- Spot changes in the market and create plans to expand channels and acquire customers.
- Follow all company policies, operational processes, and compliance standards.
Secondary responsibilities
- Suggest refinements to sales processes and credit policy to improve efficiency and customer experience.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth service delivery and better customer satisfaction.
- Strengthen sourcing through strategic alliances and direct channels.
Education
- A graduate degree in any field is required.
- An MBA or PGDM is preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in retail lending is required, ideally in 2-wheeler loans or similar asset-backed financing.
Skills and attributes
- Clear understanding of retail lending products and credit operations.
- Strong spoken and written English communication.
- Ability to manage sales channels and grow business.
