Technology Innovation Manager

About the Role

This position centers on merging technological solutions with innovation strategies to bolster EcoCeres' climate innovation objectives. The role encompasses strategic research direction, management of research projects, integration of new solutions, and comprehensive reporting to drive innovation within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategic R&D plans by conducting thorough research to uncover gaps in current climate technologies, especially targeting sectors difficult to decarbonize.
• Analyze and verify novel decarbonization pathways and solutions, converting technical findings into practical strategies for investment teams and portfolio companies.
• Identify and scout global emerging deep-tech innovations capable of delivering substantial real-world emissions reductions at scale.
• Conduct comprehensive technical due diligence on prospective R&D initiatives and ventures, evaluating scientific viability, intellectual property considerations, and potential for scaling.
• Manage collaborations and partnerships with various research organizations and institutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess an advanced degree such as a PhD or Master's in a relevant scientific or engineering field like environmental science, materials science, chemistry, or chemical engineering.
• Have extensive experience in research and development roles, showcasing a successful history of progressing technologies from proof-of-concept stages to pilot or commercial implementation.
• Exhibit a balanced technical-commercial perspective, capable of transforming complex technical ideas into feasible business models and compelling investment proposals.
• Demonstrate proven ability in managing collaborative projects involving diverse stakeholders including industry partners, government bodies, and academia.
• Hold a strategic understanding of global sustainability dynamics, with emphasis on decarbonization efforts within Asia, aligning with Temasek's areas of interest.
