About the Role

Canals is looking for an experienced, driven Technical Recruiter to join its talent acquisition team. This person will support hiring across several areas, including engineering, product, design, operations, customer success, and go-to-market functions. The role requires a generalist recruiter who can work closely with hiring managers, build effective sourcing plans, and deliver a smooth candidate journey from first outreach through offer acceptance.

The position calls for active talent sourcing through outbound outreach, referrals, networking, events, and inbound applicants. You will run strong screening conversations, evaluate both skills and culture fit, and share market intelligence with hiring managers. Success in this role will depend on the ability to think critically, move quickly, stay organized, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-moving environment. You will also help improve hiring processes, strengthen candidate engagement, and represent the company authentically to potential hires.

Qualifications

At least 4 to 6+ years of recruiting experience, especially in technical hiring
Demonstrated success in attracting strong candidates across multiple roles and functions
Solid interviewing and evaluation ability, including the judgment to spot standout talent and potential concerns
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Background in fast-paced, high-growth environments
Ability to quickly learn new business areas and build knowledge across different job families
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize several hiring efforts at once
Comfort with giving and receiving candid feedback
A strong sense of ownership and accountability for recruiting results
Confidence in building candidate relationships and partnering with hiring managers
Curiosity, adaptability, and a proactive problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

Build top-of-funnel pipelines through outbound sourcing, referrals, networking, inbound applications, and creative outreach
Run detailed recruiter screens to assess experience, capabilities, and culture fit while generating excitement about Canals
Work closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, align on candidate expectations, and share market feedback
Guide candidates through each stage of the interview process and ensure a positive, professional experience through offer stage
Gain knowledge across multiple functions and respond quickly to new hiring needs and changing requirements
Keep improving recruiting workflows, tools, outreach methods, and the overall candidate experience
Help win over top candidates by presenting the company clearly, honestly, and persuasively
Support a team culture built on high standards, feedback, teamwork, and ongoing learning
