Role Summary

The Delivery Lead will be responsible for managing the end-to-end execution of one or multiple projects within the Pickles Engineering Team. Ideal candidates will have 10 to 15 years of professional background with proven leadership over complex projects involving cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, product, and stakeholders. This position demands strong ownership of delivery, disciplined planning, effective communication with stakeholders, risk and dependency management, and the ability to lead geographically distributed teams producing modern JavaScript and TypeScript applications built with Node.js, React, and Next.js technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee project delivery from planning through execution, managing scope, schedules, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
• Lead diverse teams comprising developers, QA personnel, and support staff with clear task delegation and progress oversight.
• Drive Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and discussions about dependencies.
• Monitor milestones, risks, blockers, and escalate issues proactively while maintaining transparent communication to stakeholders.
• Ensure aligned priorities, resolve impediments, and maintain focus on business goals to achieve successful project completion.

Technical Delivery Duties

• Guide delivery efforts related to Node.js back-end, React front-end, and Next.js web applications with synchronized technical planning and execution.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on critical technical dependencies, integration points, performance, and readiness for production deployment.
• Incorporate API development, front-end rendering, testing, deployment, and release validation in delivery plans.
• Maintain predictable execution models across full-stack JavaScript teams with focus on quality assurance and release risk mitigation.

Project and Stakeholder Management

• Partner with product owners, engineering managers, QA leads, architects, and business stakeholders to align priorities and commitments.
• Translate business objectives into executable delivery plans highlighting clear milestones, risks, dependencies, and ownership.
• Provide detailed delivery updates through reports, dashboards, review meetings, and leadership communication.
• Identify and manage risks, scope changes, and issues pragmatically and timely with structured escalation as needed.

Team Leadership

• Coordinate multiple team members ensuring clarity in roles, focus on delivery, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Support productivity by removing obstacles, resolving interdependencies, and facilitating decision-making processes.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work with functional leads to assure resource planning, capacity management, and realistic delivery timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• 10 to 15 years of experience in software project delivery, management, or engineering leadership roles.
• Demonstrated leadership of complex projects involving multiple teams across development, QA, product, and stakeholders.
• Proven track record of taking projects from initiation through release and closure.
