Overview

This fixed-term full-time position is based primarily at Rosewood Cape Kidnappers in Hawke’s Bay, with responsibilities extending remotely to other Rosewood properties in New Zealand including Rosewood Kauri Cliffs in Matauri Bay and Rosewood Matakauri in Queenstown. The role involves supporting Talent & Culture (T&C) functions cluster-wide under the supervision of the Cluster Director of Talent & Culture and with dotted reporting to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Talent & Culture initiatives such as employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management primarily at the base property, while providing remote assistance to the other locations.
  • Occasionally travel between properties to fulfill operational necessities or special projects.
  • Develop and roll out training and development programs aligned with operational objectives, performance benchmarks, and corporate standards across all supported sites.
  • Facilitate access for managers and staff to complete training efficiently.
  • Enhance employee engagement and satisfaction through targeted initiatives and manage employee relations including investigations and conflict resolution within role scope.
  • Manage recruitment, selection, and onboarding at the base property and offer recruitment support remotely to other properties.
  • Support performance management and talent development processes locally and remotely.
  • Maintain accurate Talent & Culture documentation and ensure compliance with New Zealand employment laws.

Requirements

  • Prior demonstrable experience in Talent & Culture functions such as training and development, preferably within multi-site hospitality environments.
  • Strong understanding of New Zealand employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability and willingness to travel occasionally between properties as operationally needed.
  • Commitment to working a minimum of 45 hours per week on a rostered basis.

Work Location and Travel

This position is anchored at one property (currently Cape Kidnappers) with flexibility to relocate as operational needs dictate. Remote support to other properties is required, with occasional travel to these sites for operational or project purposes.
