About the Role

We are searching for an experienced Talent Acquisition professional specialized in recruiting within retail, fashion, apparel, or product-oriented companies. The ideal candidate has a track record of partnering with creative and commercial leaders and hiring across diverse functions such as:

  • Design and Product Creation, including Fashion Design, Technical Design, Product Development, CAD, and Product Lifecycle Management
  • Merchandising and Planning roles like Buying, Planning, Allocation, and Omni/Wholesale channels
  • Production and Operations areas covering Sourcing, Production, and Supply Chain collaboration
  • Creative and Brand sectors including Marketing, eCommerce, Content, and Creative Operations

The candidate will serve as a consultative advisor to hiring managers, develop robust talent pipelines, grasp the specific demands of design- and product-centric talent marketplaces, and provide excellent experiences for candidates and stakeholders alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruiting processes for corporate, creative, product, and commercial positions.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders and HR to align talent acquisition with workforce planning.
  • Establish and maintain proactive candidate pipelines for critical functions such as design, product, merchandising, planning, and creative teams.
  • Advise hiring managers on job definitions, interview processes, candidate assessment, and selection methods.
  • Utilize recruiting data metrics and labor market insights to enhance time-to-hire, candidate quality, and overall recruitment effectiveness.
  • Deliver a consistent and personalized experience for both applicants and hiring managers.
  • Assist in recruiting emerging talent and interns where applicable.
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices and execute thoughtful sourcing strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 to 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition or corporate recruiting
  • Proven hiring experience in fashion, apparel, retail, or product-innovation industries
  • Successful recruitment for roles in design, technical design, product development, merchandising, planning, or creative disciplines
  • Experience working within multi-brand, matrixed, or global organizational structures
  • Excellent communication, consultative partnership skills, and a data-informed approach

Additional Information

This is a W2 contract position located in New York City, requiring onsite presence four days per week with flexible options regarding office days.
