Overview
We seek an expert T24 Technical Support Specialist dedicated to Close of Business (COB) operations to maintain seamless core banking functions. The role includes oversight, troubleshooting, and maintenance of T24 technical systems, with a strong emphasis on the COB execution workflow.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily COB processing to ensure completion within established service agreements.
- Diagnose and fix COB-related failures or delays promptly to sustain continuous operations.
- Collaborate with functional teams and infrastructure departments to resolve COB challenges.
- Deliver technical assistance across T24 modules, interfaces, and environments.
- Manage and resolve issues with batch jobs, scripts, and system parameters.
- Conduct routine system health assessments, analyze logs, and monitor application performance.
- Maintain uptime and optimal performance across live, testing, and development T24 environments.
- Record and address incidents concerning COB and T24 operations, performing root cause analyses to resolve repetitive problems.
- Create documentation and compile knowledge base content for commonly encountered incidents.
- Interface with Temenos or other vendors for escalation and patch management.
- Coordinate efforts among infrastructure, database, and application teams during critical support periods.
- Engage closely with business users and functional consultants to prioritize support tasks.
- Identify and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities for the COB cycle.
- Assist in tuning COB and batch job performance to optimize system efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
- Between three to seven years’ experience supporting Temenos T24 technical environments, including COB operations.
- In-depth familiarity with T24 architecture, such as jBase/TAFJ, OFS processing, and routine management.
- Practical experience configuring COB tasks and batch jobs.
- Knowledge of core T24 modules including AA, FT, ST, MM, and LC.
- Competency in scripting with Unix/Linux shell scripts and jBase routines.
- Understanding of database systems, preferably Oracle or MSSQL.
- Experience working with monitoring and scheduling tools like Control-M or Cron.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness and ability to work shift hours, particularly during after-hours COB cycles.
- Effective communication skills and resilience when working under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications relating to Temenos T24 such as TAFJ, COB, or technical specializations.
- Experience in T24 upgrade projects or broader core banking transformations.
- Background in banking IT support or managed service provider settings.
