Surveillance Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking five full-time Surveillance Operators based at the University of Namibia's Main Campus. These individuals will be responsible for monitoring both live and recorded CCTV footage to identify any suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or other security threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live and recorded surveillance video for potential security breaches or suspicious activities.
• Document and report incidents as they occur, managing records and evidence.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in crisis management.
• Operate CCTV and other security systems effectively.
• Support investigations and contribute to crime prevention initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to security policies and compliance standards.
• Perform any additional duties as required by supervisors.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum of 22 points based on five subjects, including at least a 'D' grade in English.
• Have at least two years of experience in safety and security roles.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Holding a Diploma or Certificate in Security Surveillance or Law Enforcement is advantageous.
• A valid Code B driving license is considered a plus.
