What the role involves
- Taking full ownership of end-to-end supply chain operations and strengthening the ERP-supported supply chain process.
- Leading and supporting a developing team while making sure warehouse activity and wider supply chain work are well coordinated.
Core responsibilities
- Manage the complete supply chain flow, including purchasing, incoming inspection, storage, production support, and final shipment.
- Oversee demand planning and the S&OP process.
- Work with ERP or MRP systems, including improvement or implementation work where relevant.
- Build, refine, and standardise supply chain processes with a strong continuous-improvement mindset.
- Use operational data such as inventory accuracy, lead times, OTIF, and supplier performance to guide decisions.
- Collaborate across engineering, warehouse, production, quality, and finance functions.
- Support growth by improving how materials and systems are managed in a fast-moving medtech environment.
Experience and skills needed
The ideal candidate will bring supply chain, materials, planning, or logistics experience, preferably from a manufacturing or regulated setting. You should be comfortable working across the full supply chain, confident using data, and able to coordinate effectively with multiple teams. Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills are important, along with a hands-on, proactive approach.
Requirements
- Background in supply chain, materials, planning, or logistics.
- Experience in manufacturing or a regulated environment is preferred.
- Understanding of the full supply chain cycle from procurement to shipment.
- Experience with demand planning and S&OP.
- Hands-on exposure to ERP or MRP systems; implementation or optimisation experience is a plus.
- Strong process-improvement mindset.
- Comfort working with data to support decisions and performance tracking.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, warehouse, production, quality, and finance.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Practical, solution-oriented, and ready to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits
- Opportunity to make a visible impact from day one on how the product is sourced, supplied, and scaled globally.
- Chance to help build and continuously improve supply chain processes and systems.
- Collaborative environment with engineers, technicians, and operators focused on patient outcomes.
- Based in Ballybrit, within Galway’s medtech ecosystem.
- Competitive compensation package including market salary, bonus potential, company pension scheme, private health insurance, and more.
