Project Summary
The Ar Rjum Project is a greenfield gold mining initiative featuring three open-pit mines, supporting infrastructure such as processing plants, tailings facilities, waste dumps, stockpiles, water and power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, and accommodations. Located about 200 km northeast of Taif and 26 km south of Al Mouwayh on the Jeddah-Riyadh highway within the Central Arabian Gold Region.
Role Overview
The Subcontract Administrator will report to the Project Contracts Manager and assist designated Contracts Administrators across civil, mechanical, and electrical/instrumentation contract packages. This role entails collaboration with multiple functions including field engineering and project controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive and standardized Bills of Quantities to facilitate contractor bidding.
- Support financial evaluations to select the optimal contractor.
- Assist in negotiating contract terms, conditions, and pricing to safeguard client interests.
- Evaluate and verify on-site work completion for monthly interim payments.
- Manage contract variations by pricing and assessing financial impacts of scope changes.
- Review and assess financial claims submitted by contractors.
- Handle project close-out activities, reconciling all costs, variations, and claims to finalize financial settlements with clients or contractors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred educational qualification is a bachelor's degree or an international equivalent with 8-10 years relevant experience, or 12-14 years of applicable professional experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in estimating quantities, costs, and timeframes for materials and labor.
- Experience preparing tender and contract documentation.
- Capability to identify and assess commercial risks.
- Expertise in valuing completed work, budget management, and payment oversight.
- Familiarity with rules of measurement relevant to industrial and petrochemical sectors involving civils, mechanicals, and electrical/instrumentation disciplines.
Essential Behavioral Attributes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluent in English at a native-speaker level; Arabic literacy is advantageous but not required.
- Experience working effectively within multicultural environments.
- Ability to handle disputes and conflicting situations diplomatically.
- Empathy and emotional intelligence; adept at fostering diversity, inclusiveness, teamwork, communication, and knowledge sharing.

- Relocation: Authorized for international candidates as single relocation.
