About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Stores Officer to efficiently manage inventory and store operations at Britannia Industries Limited in Ramanagara, Karnataka. This role involves overseeing stock levels, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring accurate record-keeping related to purchases and stock movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory quantities, issue purchase orders, and receive incoming supplies.
- Maintain precise documentation of purchases along with pricing details.
- Liaise with suppliers to guarantee prompt delivery of materials.
- Arrange and supervise the storage environment to optimize space utilization and facilitate proper stock rotation.
- Regularly audit inventory to verify the accuracy of records and stock availability.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Between five to seven years of professional experience in stores or inventory management.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Strong organizational skills coupled with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of store operations including stock upkeep and material handling.
- Excellent communication capabilities along with negotiation expertise.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
