Role Overview

The Startup Program & Experience Lead is responsible for shaping the startup customer journey during onboarding and the trial period. The focus is on helping startups adopt Notion successfully, stay engaged with the product, and quickly understand the value it can create for them.

Working with the Head of Startups, this role blends program management, customer experience, lifecycle engagement, and operational execution. The objective is to strengthen startup activation, engagement, conversion, and retention across the region.

This position works across Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Partnerships to build scalable startup programs, onboarding flows, and engagement initiatives that support long-term business growth.

The role suits someone who enjoys creating systems and experiences at scale while staying close to customer needs and operational quality.

Key Outcomes

  • Raise startup activation, engagement, conversion, and retention across the regional startup funnel.
  • Design and run onboarding and lifecycle programs that can scale for startup customers.
  • Develop startup-specific education, onboarding, and engagement experiences that help customers reach value faster.
  • Spot friction in the customer journey and improve it through process and experience changes.
  • Support startup campaigns, events, ecosystem initiatives, and related regional programs.
  • Measure and review program results, customer behavior, and operational data to improve conversion and ARR over time.
  • Contribute to the Startups 2.0 operating model by building an automated scorecard to identify high-potential startups and deliver a more high-touch experience.

Compensation

For roles based in San Francisco or New York City, the estimated base salary range is $174,000 to $205,000 per year.
