About the Role
This opportunity invites professionals with a background in accounting to join the Federal Bureau of Investigation as Special Agents. This transition enables you to elevate your career by blending your financial expertise with high-level investigative work addressing national security threats, including cyberattacks, terrorism, and fraud. You will refine your analytical and reconciliation skills while gaining specialized investigative training and access to advanced technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute investigations into violations of federal laws, cybersecurity threats, and concerns related to public safety.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, adaptability, and ingenuity in managing investigative requirements.
- Develop and sustain cooperative relationships with various law enforcement entities across federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and international sectors.
- Maintain physical fitness to meet the demands of law enforcement tasks.
Key Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Eligibility for Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance must be attainable.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Fulfill all FBI employment eligibility criteria.
Education
Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a U.S.-accredited institution, preferably in accounting or related disciplines such as business administration, finance, or forensic accounting. Submission of college transcripts for degree verification is required.
Salary Information
The pay range for this position spans from $93,749 to $133,200, adjusted according to base salary, locality, and availability pay.
