Role Purpose

The Solutions Architect is responsible for designing control automation and monitoring solutions involving BMS, PLC, SCADA, and power metering systems. This position centers on pioneering engineering methods and tools to ensure successful completion of designs from specification through to technical documentation ready for construction and commissioning. Additionally, creating software code and graphics might be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between the bidding team and project execution team by contributing to new project opportunities.
• Own the project’s design solution, coordinating with external vendors, clients, and internal teams.
• Assist Project Managers and Lead Engineers in design and engineering implementation.
• Support continuous improvement in engineering tools and processes to meet timelines and budgets effectively.
• Ensure thorough preparation, issuance, and approval of all design documents.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with project and engineering management teams.
• Keep precise records of work via timesheets and submit expense claims punctually.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders including Project Managers, Engineering Manager, and Technical Support Managers.
• Work efficiently to meet or exceed scheduled task deadlines.
• Explore and apply alternative engineering approaches to enhance quality and reduce costs.
• Maintain consistently high standards in workmanship.

Additional Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in BMS, PLC, SCADA, and EPMS systems, offering deep technical knowledge.
• Guide and support junior engineers and other Solutions Architects by sharing expertise and best practices.
• Lead technical design for complex and major projects and provide strategic insights during bids.
• Recommend and implement engineering methodologies, tools, and processes that boost quality, cost-effectiveness, and profitability.
• Represent ABEC as a senior technical consultant with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
