Shipper Receiver

About the Role

Join Dynacare's Materials Management team as a Shipper Receiver at our Brampton, Ontario location. This permanent, full-time role involves a variety of responsibilities critical to supporting our inventory and supply chain operations within a computerized environment. You'll be directly involved in receiving shipments, managing inventory, preparing orders, and facilitating internal deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive shipments from multiple vendors, verifying accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders, and resolving any discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory records by logging all receipt and order data into a computerized system, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Manage issue resolution forwarded from Accounts Payable regarding non-receipts.
• Distribute shipments to appropriate departments and maintain cleanliness of stock areas.
• Load/unload supplies from delivery trucks, including forklift operation when necessary.
• Rotate stock and prepare orders for various Dynacare locations and physician offices as per set procedures.
• Execute daily delivery runs to internal departments and assist in equipment and furniture setup as needed.
• Handle vendor returns according to established protocols ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
• Participate in inventory counts, cycle counts, kit assembly, and investigate stock discrepancies collaboratively.
• Ensure safe handling, labeling, and storage of hazardous and flammable materials, including maintaining Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and adhering to WHMIS regulations.
• Collect and replace biohazardous waste bins and exchange gas cylinders as required.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment, complying with company safety policies, and reporting hazards appropriately.

Requirements

• Completion of secondary school or equivalent education.
• Experience of 1-2 years in a distribution or inventory environment, preferably with computerized systems (Oracle experience advantageous).
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced picking and packing setting.
• Physical capability to lift between 50 and 70 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (training available through Dynacare).
• Certification in Material Handling Equipment (MHE).

Working Conditions

• Physically demanding tasks including lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing, with use of large muscle groups.
• Work involves manual dexterity, climbing, standing, stooping, and fine motor skills.
• Warehouse environment subject to temperature variations, noise, and exposure to biohazardous materials, chemicals, and gas cylinders.
• Regular exposure to phone calls and interruptions.

Compensation and Schedule

Hourly wage ranges from $19.50 to $21.50, with final salary based on experience and education. Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, onsite. This position is benefits-eligible.
