Role Overview

The Senior Vice President of Human Resources (SVP, HR) oversees the human capital strategy network-wide, aligning talent management with organizational goals, growth, and sustainability. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the Network Executive Team, the SVP, HR is crucial to strategic talent initiatives, partnering with regional leadership and the Board to drive performance and culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team across Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Performance & Analytics, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Act as a strategic partner to executive leaders and regional teams, ensuring HR priorities are aligned and responsive to local needs.
• Drive initiatives to enhance employee experience and trust, focusing on improving the employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) through actionable feedback and leadership accountability.
• Oversee HR compliance, performance management, workforce planning, and risk mitigation across multiple regions.
• Elevate talent acquisition efforts to build diverse and high-quality candidate pipelines for key roles, leveraging community and national recruitment strategies.
• Manage performance management systems, succession planning, and leadership development pipelines to support organizational growth.
• Use data analytics and HRIS tools like Workday to inform human capital strategies and present workforce data to boards and leadership.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience (10+ years) leading HR or talent functions within complex, multi-site organizations, preferably in nonprofit or educational sectors.
• Proven ability to blend visionary strategy with practical execution, influencing leaders and building scalable HR systems that respect local contexts.
• Strong knowledge of talent acquisition, workforce strategies, employment law, leadership development, and employee engagement methodologies.
• Experience with data analytics and HR platforms such as Workday is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with a record of building trust at all organizational levels.
• Bachelor’s degree required; ability to travel regularly across regions is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an annual salary range of $180,000 to $220,000, complemented by comprehensive health and wellness benefits, a 403b retirement plan, flexible spending accounts, and generous paid time off.

Physical and Work Environment

The role involves regular communication, frequent standing, walking, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
