Role Overview
The Senior Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) for the Asia-Pacific region drives technical validation, accelerates deals, and develops solution strategies for enterprise and government clients within APAC. This role is pivotal in bridging revenue strategies with deep technical expertise to align with enterprise buyers and manage complex sales executions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and solution design throughout the entire sales process.
- Translate business risks into scalable security workforce and enablement programs.
- Architect solutions focusing on enterprise security programs such as red team/blue team enablement and offensive security tracks.
- Serve as the top technical authority for complex sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with Account Executives on technical qualification, buying committee engagement, and closing strategies including MEDDPICC framework usage.
- Design and shape Proof-of-Value initiatives, pilot success criteria, and evaluation frameworks for enterprise clients.
- Proactively eliminate technical objections slowing or preventing deal closure.
- Conduct executive level solution demonstrations, live technical presentations, architecture reviews, and security maturity workshops tailored for CISOs, CIOs, security architects, SOC, red team leads, and procurement officials.
- Develop in-depth understanding of key verticals such as financial services, government and defense, energy, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure sectors.
- Provide technical escalation support for direct sales, channel partners, and global system integrators.
- Support partner technical certifications and readiness programs.
- Continuously deliver field insights to product management, curriculum developers, and certification teams.
- Identify competitive displacement signals, regional compliance requirements, and necessary APAC localization adjustments.
Essential Qualifications
- Over 7 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, pre-sales or solutions engineering, and roles involving SOC, incident response, red team, or security architecture.
- Proven track record presenting to enterprise-level cybersecurity leaders and government security decision-makers.
- Strong knowledge of offensive and defensive security practices, cloud security principles, SOC operations, and contemporary threat landscapes.
- Commercial acumen including understanding sales mechanics and balancing buying urgency with technical depth.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience in penetration testing, security architecture, threat hunting, or leading red/blue team activities.
- Experience managing enterprise Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and tenders.
- Familiarity with learning platforms and certification frameworks.
- Certifications from OffSec are highly desirable.
