Role Overview
The Senior Service Technician at Sulco will be responsible for hands-on periodic maintenance, installations, and breakdown support for a variety of automotive equipment, including tyre balancers, aligners, heavy truck brake testers, and vehicle lifts. Comprehensive factory training is provided along with continued professional development. All trade-standard tools from top brands are supplied at no cost, or technicians may use their own. Candidates transitioning from automotive or building maintenance roles with relevant skills are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare new automotive equipment for delivery and installation.
- Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance tasks.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and breakdown support.
- Carry out mechanical repairs, fitting tasks, and low voltage electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work.
- Utilize modern, clean workspaces with provided tools.
- Travel extensively throughout New Zealand to support the service agent network.
Skills and Experience
- Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude; proficiency with spanners, hand tools, or multi-meters desired.
- Full training available for those demonstrating capability.
- Professional appearance with strong communication skills and English literacy.
- Positive mindset willing to learn and improve through practical experience.
- Collaborative team member.
- Possession of a Class 2 or higher driver's license is advantageous but not mandatory.
