Senior Project Manager (MEP)

About the Role

Join a leading international engineering and construction firm based in Frankfurt, Germany, to take charge as a Senior Project Manager specializing in MEP for large-scale data centre projects. This position offers the chance to lead and deliver complex MEP packages for hyperscale and critical infrastructure developments throughout Europe, ensuring timely, safe, and quality-driven project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of major MEP project deliveries, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate design efforts, conduct technical assessments, and implement value engineering processes.
• Manage tender evaluations, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and commercial performance monitoring.
• Facilitate collaboration among multidisciplinary contractors and specialized supply chain partners.
• Create and maintain detailed Project Execution Plans and delivery schedules.
• Maintain rigorous quality, safety, and technical compliance standards.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and opportunities.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Manage project close-out procedures, provide commissioning assistance, and ensure smooth transition to operations.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 7 to 10+ years of experience managing large-scale MEP construction projects.
• Proven track record of leading complex projects from tender stage through to completion.
• Strong expertise in design management, procurement processes, and subcontractor oversight.
• Demonstrated capabilities in programme control, budget management, and quality assurance.
• Excellent commercial insight and contract management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities and stakeholder management experience.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Previous experience in data centre projects is considered highly advantageous.
