Devika Multispeciality Hospital & Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. operates a 50-bed hospital offering state-of-the-art diagnostic services in Hanumakonda and is expanding with a new diagnostic center in SR Nagar, Hyderabad. The group specializes in MRI, CT, ultrasound, Doppler, X-ray, and laboratory services, focusing on high-quality reporting, patient safety, and clinical governance led by consultants.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Senior MRI and CT Technologist for our advanced diagnostic center in SR Nagar, Hyderabad. This role involves independently operating MRI and CT scanning systems, ensuring excellent image quality, maintaining patient safety, and facilitating smooth daily operations of the modalities.
- Conduct both routine and advanced MRI scans following approved protocols without supervision.
- Plan MRI sequences, planes, field of view, slice thickness, and scan coverage tailored to clinical indications.
- Optimize MRI sequences to minimize motion and other technical artifacts such as susceptibility and wrap-around.
- Perform MRI scans of the brain, spine, joints, abdomen, pelvis, MRCP, angiography, and other standard studies.
- Independently carry out routine CT scans and assist in contrast-enhanced CT studies.
- Correctly position patients to acquire diagnostically sufficient images with minimal need for retakes.
- Screen patients thoroughly for contraindications like implants, metal foreign bodies, pregnancy, and claustrophobia to maintain safety.
- Adhere strictly to MRI safety protocols including zone access, magnet safety, and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists for protocol customization in complex cases.
- Monitor environmental conditions like room temperature, humidity, chiller status, UPS, and electrical supply, while also tracking equipment alarms.
- Maintain logs for equipment usage, temperature, humidity, quality assurance (QA), breakdowns, and services daily.
- Execute daily and periodic quality control and maintenance checks as approved.
- Ensure proper storage and functionality of coils, injector accessories, patient monitoring, and emergency equipment.
- Promptly report any irregular equipment readings, cooling system malfunctions, helium alerts, image quality degradation, or technical faults.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs with service engineers.
- Maintain cleanliness and safe handling practices for the modality and associated accessories.
- Support workflow for contrast studies, including cannulation assistance, patient monitoring, and emergency preparedness.
- Supervise and provide training to junior MRI/CT technicians.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, study labeling, image transfer to PACS, and completion of examination documentation.
- Maintain professional communication with patients, their attendants, radiologists, and referring clinicians.
- Adhere to designated duty schedules and be available for after-hours coverage as needed.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possess a BSc in Radiology and Imaging Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
- Have a minimum of five years of practical experience in MRI operations.
- Demonstrate strong independent ability in MRI sequence planning.
- Experience with CT operation is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with 1.5 Tesla MRI systems is desirable.
- Knowledgeable about MRI safety standards, contrast agent safety, and emergency protocols.
- Skilled in identifying and correcting common artifacts in MRI and CT images.
- Experienced with PACS, RIS, and DICOM imaging workflows.
- Capable of maintaining detailed logs of temperature, humidity, quality assurance, and machine status.
- Efficiently manage high patient volume without compromising image quality.
- Experience working in advanced diagnostic centers or hospital settings is an advantage.
- Responsible, punctual, and prepared to take operational ownership of modality functionality.
Benefits and Compensation
- Monthly salary ranging from INR 50,000 to 60,000 depending on experience and technical skills.

- Additional technical allowance of INR 300 per MRI or CT scan performed beyond 9:00 PM according to the duty roster.
