Job description
Role Overview
Serving as the Senior Manager for Workers Welfare within the Entertainment Business Unit (EBU), you will spearhead efforts to uphold exemplary employment and worker welfare standards aligning with top industry and ethical norms. Your role demands fostering compliance and advancement through education and motivation directed at Contractors, while boosting productive partnerships with Contractors, Supervision Consultants, and Qiddiya Investment Company project teams, playing a key role in the successful realization of Qiddiya City.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute strategic and tactical initiatives related to worker accommodation and welfare within EBU.
- Develop a risk-informed assurance plan for worker welfare and accommodation.
- Carry out comprehensive on-site and off-site inspections including worker interviews to assess adherence to Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development standards and Qiddiya's welfare requirements.
- Provide authoritative expertise on Qiddiya's welfare standards, advising Contractors on best practices and enhancement strategies.
- Track and ensure timely implementation of recommended welfare improvements.
- Report and resolve issues concerning non-compliance in employment and welfare practices.
- Lead presentations on welfare expectations during Contractor mobilization meetings.
- Organize training initiatives to guarantee Contractor staff are aligned with welfare standards.
- Conduct welfare assessments as part of Contractor prequalification and tender processes.
- Champion and coordinate Workers Welfare Forums at both EBU and wider Qiddiya levels.
- Facilitate monthly Grievance Committee sessions and ensure proper case management of worker complaints through dedicated hotlines.
- Engage in internal and external audits relevant to worker welfare and contribute to corporate working groups linked to this area.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a comparable Level 6 Health and Safety qualification; membership of professional bodies such as CIPD or IOSH is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of Saudi labor laws and pertinent regulations.
- Over 10 years’ proven experience within worker welfare, labor rights, or related domains, preferably within the GCC.
- Experience operating in multicultural environments with sensitivity to cultural distinctions impacting worker welfare.
- Valid driving license for KSA jurisdiction.
Skills and Competences
- Linguistic skills including Hindi, Urdu, and/or Bengali are advantageous; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with a detail-oriented approach.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret audit findings accurately.
- Effective teamwork, cross-functional communication, and collaboration.
- Capable of independent judgment and initiative.
- Efficient prioritization and adaptability based on work performance scope.
