Senior Logistics Executive

About the Role

The Senior Logistics Executive will oversee and enhance logistics and distribution operations, ensuring prompt and cost-efficient delivery of products. This role requires coordinating with various internal departments, third-party logistics providers, transporters, and warehouses to maintain smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the transportation and distribution to guarantee timely deliveries.
• Improve logistics workflows to minimize costs and bolster operational efficiency.
• Engage and coordinate with external vendors such as 3PL firms, transporters, and warehouse entities.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to maximize cost savings.
• Monitor inventory quantities aligning with demand forecasts and ensure proper storage to prevent damage or losses.
• Comply with legal and regulatory standards relevant to logistics and transportation.
• Maintain accurate shipment, invoice, and delivery documentation.
• Track logistics key performance indicators including delivery schedules, cost per unit, and transport efficiency.
• Analyze operational data to detect improvement opportunities and implement necessary actions.
• Collaborate closely with sales, procurement, and production teams to synchronize logistics strategies with business objectives.
• Address and resolve shipment-related problems such as delays, damage, or discrepancies.
• Utilize logistics management software and related tools to enhance supply chain visibility and process efficiency.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or an equivalent field.
• Have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport management.
• Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving proficiency.
• Exhibit excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Be proficient with logistics software applications and the Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with SAP or other ERP platforms is advantageous.
• Be detail-focused, well-organized, and capable of managing work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Show effective leadership and team management qualities.
