About the Role

A prestigious global luxury fashion company is looking to hire a Senior Human Resources Manager for their New York office to provide HR leadership to approximately 80 corporate staff and more than 300 retail employees across the region.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the President of the Americas, this senior leadership position steers the HR strategy and people initiatives throughout the Americas, including the USA and Mexico. Leading an expanding HR team located in New York, the individual will collaborate closely with senior business leaders to cultivate a high-performing, engaged workforce supported by scalable HR operations that align with the company’s growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to the Americas HR team.
  • Collaborate with the President of the Americas and senior executives to ensure HR strategies support overall business goals.
  • Serve as a trusted HR consultant to leaders across Retail, Corporate, and Executive functions.
  • Facilitate workforce planning and implement scalable HR practices to support organizational growth throughout North America.
  • Enhance employee engagement, cultivate company culture, and build leadership capabilities within both corporate and retail sectors.
  • Manage employee relations issues and work alongside legal counsel to ensure policy compliance and sound resolution.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance HR policies, processes, and systems aligned with business evolution.
  • Direct performance management, succession planning, and talent development efforts.
  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition teams to attract and retain top talent regionally.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws across multiple Americas jurisdictions.

Experience and Qualifications

  • More than 10 years of progressive human resources experience, ideally covering the Americas region.
  • Background in luxury retail environments preferred.
  • Experience servicing both corporate and retail employee groups.
  • Proven track record of managing and nurturing HR teams.
  • Deep understanding of US employment legislation; familiarity with broader Americas legal frameworks is advantageous.
  • Skilled at partnering with executive leadership to implement strategic people programs.
  • Adept at thriving in fast-paced, growing, entrepreneurial organizations where flexibility is essential.
  • Experience with companies of comparable size.
