Job Overview and Responsibilities
This role involves comprehensive hotel pricing and market analysis to sustain competitive positioning and optimize revenue performance. The analyst will monitor competitor pricing strategies, track room rates, occupancy trends, and analyze revenue outcomes. Benchmarking against market indicators to identify pricing opportunities is essential.
Performance reporting duties include preparing detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations analyzing revenue, average daily rate (ADR), occupancy, revenue per available room (RevPAR), conversion rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). The role demands insights into market demand, customer behavior, pricing effectiveness, and contributing to forecasting and budgeting exercises.
Strategic collaboration is required with internal teams to assess promotional campaigns, pricing initiatives, and develop pricing strategies grounded in market intelligence and analytical findings. Ongoing market trend monitoring and ad hoc business support analyses are also integral parts of the job.
Qualifications and Experience
- A university degree in Business Analytics, Hospitality Management, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Between 1 and 3 years of professional experience in revenue management, pricing analysis, commercial or hospitality analytics roles.
- Background in hospitality, travel, tourism, or e-commerce is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hotel performance metrics like ADR, RevPAR, occupancy, and yield management is preferred.
