Role Overview
The Senior Enterprise Network Specialist at Pegasus International is a senior-level technical expert responsible for the planning, leadership, and evolution of enterprise-wide network platforms. This role spans multiple global sites and integrates cloud and hybrid infrastructures, ensuring secure, scalable, cost-effective connectivity for manufacturing plants, offices, data centers, and cloud environments.
Acting as a key liaison between architecture and implementation teams, this specialist drives network modernization, supports merger and acquisition integrations, and collaborates with various teams including Network, Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Systems to deliver comprehensive enterprise network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and uphold enterprise reference architectures for campus, plant, data center, WAN/SD-WAN, cloud, and hybrid networking.
- Establish and maintain enterprise network standards, design patterns, and best practices across business units.
- Lead architecture reviews for significant network projects to ensure consistency, scalability, resilience, and security.
- Govern Azure-centric hybrid cloud network solutions and support secondary cloud providers when needed.
- Collaborate with Security teams to integrate Zero Trust principles and network segmentation.
- Oversee vendor assessments, budgeting, and contract negotiations to balance performance, security, cost, and avoid vendor dependency.
- Define and maintain disaster recovery solutions and network resilience strategies to mitigate WAN and site failures.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in Enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN architecture and operations.
- Experienced with Azure Networking including VNets, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute.
- Knowledgeable in hybrid cloud network integration and secure connectivity frameworks.
- Strong background in network security controls, segmentation, and implementing Zero Trust architectures.
- Skilled in enterprise architecture, governance processes, and conducting architecture reviews.
- Demonstrated leadership with ability to guide multiple business units and mentor technical staff.
- Experienced in vendor management, service provider coordination, and cost optimization.
