Senior Engineer - DevOps

Role Overview

The Senior Engineer in DevOps will lead the design, implementation, and upkeep of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, alongside automating infrastructure and monitoring to maintain system reliability and scalability of various applications and services.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and sustain CI/CD pipelines across multiple applications.
• Automate deployment processes for infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Supervise and administer container orchestration platforms including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Set up and maintain frameworks for monitoring, alerting, and centralized log collection.
• Guarantee the availability, security, and optimized performance of production systems.
• Work closely with engineering teams to facilitate streamlined and secure software releases.
• Diagnose and fix problems encountered in development, staging, and live environments.
• Keep detailed documentation on systems, processes, and configuration settings up to date.

Technical Requirements

• Strong foundation in programming fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented principles.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C.
• Familiarity with AI/ML principles, including Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Effective analytical thinking with solid problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
• Good communication abilities coupled with a proactive attitude towards learning new technologies.
• Basic insight into software development lifecycle processes and debugging, especially for experienced candidates.
• Preferably some knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and SQL.
• Comfortable working with Linux/Unix command line and shell environments.
• Exposure to automation or scripting techniques is advantageous.
• Internship experience, academic projects, or certifications in software development or artificial intelligence will be considered an asset.
