Senior Category Manager - Frozen & Importation

Overview

This role is responsible for leading the category strategy for Frozen & Importation products at Panda Retail Company, focusing on meeting sales, margin, and profitability goals. The position requires crafting customer-centric approaches that balance financial results with innovation and quality store experiences to support sustainable company growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement category strategies for Fresh Food to meet sales, margin, and profit targets consistent with corporate objectives.
• Analyze market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitors to identify avenues for growth, innovation, and distinctiveness within the category.
• Oversee assortment planning, pricing, and promotional activities to harmonize with customer needs and financial outcomes.
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to optimize cost efficiency, margins, and additional income.
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Space & Range, and Marketing teams to ensure category plans are effectively executed and product availability is maintained in stores.
• Utilize sales and margin reports to conduct performance evaluations, facilitate informed decisions, and drive ongoing improvements.
• Head product innovation and development efforts to launch unique, high-quality, customer-relevant products.
• Build and sustain robust supplier partnerships to secure long-term value and competitive edge.
• Mentor category and merchandising teams to ensure strategic alignment and enhance category management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in the FMCG sector.
• Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with email software such as Outlook.
• Strong negotiation capabilities.
