Senior Business Analyst - Talent Acquisition Analytics

Role Overview

This Senior Business Analyst role places you at the crossroads of data, strategy, hiring, and analysis, empowering teams to keep Amazon's customer promise. You will lead data analytics assignments end-to-end, crafting reports, consolidating metrics, and managing ad hoc plus trend-based studies. Utilizing BI tools, you'll scrutinize data to formulate actionable recommendations aligned with Talent Acquisition goals and effectively communicate findings to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design operational dashboards and reports tailored for recruiting leadership and their respective business units.
• Create and sustain data visualizations that inform stakeholders on critical performance indicators.
• Perform trend analyses to uncover opportunities, strengths, and advise on corrective measures.
• Recommend organizational health metrics based on data trends.
• Lead Talent Acquisition headcount planning through collaboration with Finance teams.
• Develop methodologies, programs, and reports to analyze and present data clearly.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for corporate recruiting platforms, delivering training to team members.
• Conduct regular system audits to validate the completeness and accuracy of data reporting.
• Execute complex, multi-system data analyses supporting scheduled and ad hoc reports.
• Identify root causes by mining key performance indicators.
• Evaluate Amazon’s diverse data resources to determine appropriate sources for information needs.
• Analyze business outcome data, recognizing relationships and trends integrating statistical data visualizations.
• Contribute to internal research papers.
• Monitor existing metrics, develop new indicators, and detect actionable risk signals.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience writing SQL queries and developing business intelligence reports, particularly in Tableau and Power BI.
• Proficiency in utilizing data and metrics to extract meaningful business insights, including advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with SQL and making recommendations that influence stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• An MBA degree is a strong advantage.

Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $118,200 to $160,000 annually, with sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs).
