About the Role
A well-established law firm based in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a Senior Associate to join their expanding Corporate Advisory team. This role offers a significant opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer to engage with both local and international clients, providing advice on diverse corporate and commercial issues. The position also involves mentoring junior legal staff and managing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle corporate and commercial legal matters independently while delivering practical, business-oriented advice.
- Guide clients through corporate transactions, commercial contracts, financing, corporate governance, restructuring, regulatory concerns, and other advisory requirements.
- Prepare and evaluate contracts, legal opinions, memoranda, and various client-related documents.
- Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and strategic planning sessions.
- Oversee and mentor junior team members including Associates and Paralegals.
- Collaborate closely with Partners and senior lawyers on complex legal issues.
Candidate Profile
- Possess 6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience within recognized law firms or legal settings (exceptions may be made for outstanding applicants).
- Demonstrated strong expertise in corporate and commercial advisory services.
- Experience across a wide spectrum including corporate deals, commercial contracts, financing arrangements, governance, and drafting legal opinions.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and supervise junior lawyers.
- Excellent skills in legal drafting, communication, and analysis.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced team environments.
- Holds a law degree and is a qualified lawyer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with legal practices in the GCC or Middle Eastern region.
- Experience advising both regional and international clientele.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
